Digital Nomad Visa

The Digital Nomad Visa (VITEM XIV) is a one-year visa for freelancers and remote employees whose main activity and income come exclusively from abroad.

The Retiree Visa (VITEM XI) is a one-year visa for individuals receiving a pension or regular income from abroad who wish to settle in Brazil to enjoy their retirement.

- Stay in Brazil for one year, renewable once (maximum two years);
- Reserved for retirees;

Long-Stay Visa Application Procedure with Voiles & Visas
Here are the main steps to apply for your visa:
- Contact us via our form, specifying your situation and needs.
- We will get back to you to discuss your situation and provide all the forms and documents to complete.
- Fill out a questionnaire and gather the necessary supporting documents for your visa application, including:
- Valid passport;
- Proof of stable income;
- Birth certificate and marriage certificate if applicable;
- Criminal record extract.
- Apostille your official documents (birth certificate, marriage certificate, and criminal record). This step may take several business days and must be done by you.
- Send us your documents — we will handle their official translation into Portuguese.
- Submission to partner lawyers: once translated, we send your documents to our specialized lawyers for processing.
- Receive the decision: approximately two months later, you will receive the official response regarding your visa.
